The function of minerals

Plants absorb minerals from the soil. Animals, which eat this vegetable food, ingest these natural minerals more effectively than artificial minerals. Natural minerals ensure, therefore, a better result: healthier stock, more resistance, more production. Below is a brief overview of the used minerals and their effects.

NaCl – Sodium chloride

keeps the appetite and milk production at the right level and stimulates salivation. Also prevents NaCi lick tendency and apathy

Ca – Calcium

supports the building up of skeleton and teeth, in particular in young animals. Prevents rickets

Mn – Manganese

stimulates the development of bone and muscle tissue, and prevents poor udder development and pregnancy problems

Cu – Copper

ensures good performance of diverse enzymatic processes, and prevents anemia, poor growth, and infertility

I – Iodine

improves the effect of the thyroid, regulates the metabolism, and prevents problems with reproduction, milk yield, and stillborn calves

Se – Selenium

increases resistance, stimulates muscle development, and prevents reduced resistance and pregnancy problems

Mg – Magnesium

optimizes the function of the enzyme systems, stimulating the metabolism and the building up of bone tissue, promotes milk yield and prevents grass tetanus

P – Phosphorous

ensures, with Ca, for good skeleton-building/bone development, and prevents fertility problems

Zn – Zinc

ensures good performance of diverse enzymatic processes, and prevents unhealthy skin, coat and hooves

Fe – Iron

necessary for oxygen transportation to the tissues, prevents anemia and apathy

Co – Cobalt

ensures the making of vitamin B12 and good rumen function. Stimulates a shiny coat, and prevents apathy, as well as reduced appetite and growth
