TROMP supplies mineral mixes, premixes and mineral licks to animal feed manufacturers and fodder wholesalers. The Frisian family business was founded in 1937 and is currently run by Wiebe Tromp, the grandson of the founder.
TROMP is the only independent family business in the Netherlands in this sector. As a company we work with short lines of communication and thanks to our small scale, we respond quickly to customer requests. In addition to a wide range of standard products, we also produce custom mineral mixes, premixes and mineral licks. Our customers usually know exactly what they need. Together, we look at how we can optimize feed compositions, based on constantly changing circumstances, demand and needs.
Wiebe Tromp focuses closely on the purchase of minerals, vitamins and other raw materials. All products are composed with care and where possible we use natural, unprocessed raw materials without artificial additives. TROMP is increasingly replacing chemical raw materials with natural variants. These are often healthier and are better absorbed by the animals. Examples are sea salt, algae, lime from ground sea shells or organically bound selenium or manganese.
TROMP has grown considerably in recent years. This has enabled us to invest in new buildings, optimization of production processes, quality control, tracking & tracing and sustainable energy supply. In addition to the Netherlands, TROMP has international sales markets in Scandinavia, Germany, Lebanon, China, France and Suriname.
