In recent decades, the demand for stricter traceability has increased. Globalization and diseases such as bird flu and mad cow disease make it necessary to be able to trace the origin of raw materials. Consumers have the right to know which raw materials have been used in their milk or meat. Traceability starts with the feed that we prepare for our cows, pigs, sheep and chickens. The better we feed the animals, the healthier the products people consume.

Searching for natural raw materials
TROMP follows the regulations and guidelines in the field of traceability of animal feed. We also study the effect of traditional and new raw materials. Wherever possible we use pure and natural raw materials. We are increasingly replacing chemical minerals with natural variants if these prove to be more effective and healthier. Examples include sea salt, algae, lime from ground sea shells or organically bound selenium or manganese.
